Westcave is a natural treasure of the Texas Hill Country, rich with majestic beauty and ecological diversity. Located 40 miles west of Austin, this 76 acre gem has been preserved and offered to the public since 1976. Westcave Preserve is part of Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization. The mission of Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center is to inspire people to develop a lifelong practice of enjoying and protecting nature. Our crown jewel is our a sparking waterfall drips 40 feel over fern-covered travertine columns into a vivid emerald pool with lush plant life seen in few other places in Texas.
