Solaro Estate Vineyards & Winery
Forget about going to your local Italian restaurant for a glass of wine. At Solaro Estate Vineyards & Winery, you can immerse yourself in the vine-to-glass lifestyle. This family-owned winery got its start in Italy, but has since settled down in the Texas Hill Country.
Let the stress melt away with one of Solaro’s many wine-tasting options. For a more casual experience, there are the 30-minute Wine Tasting Flights, which include four different wines. The more serious wine lovers amongst you may want to opt for the Sommelier-Led or Table Reservation experiences, the latter of which lasts for about 90 minutes and is best for large groups.
If you’re interested in joining one of Solaro’s wine clubs, you might like to know you’ll be put on a shortlist for an invitation to one of their global wine trips. Upcoming destinations include the Republic of Georgia and Germany. Wow!
Hamilton Pool Preserve
One of the best spots for a truly unforgettable day out is the Hamilton Pool Preserve, one of the most gorgeous watering holes in the state. With limestone outcroppings and a 50-foot waterfall, you’ll be astounded by the area’s sweeping natural beauty. It’s as mesmerizing as it is rejuvenating as it is romantic.
During certain times of the year, you’re even able to swim in parts of the watering hole to get the full return-to-nature experience. To get to the watering hole, you’ll trek down a scenic, quarter-of-a-mile hiking trail. Guided tours are also available, which start at the dry uplands, then descend into the canyon, providing fascinating tidbits on the area’s history.
