1. MAZAMA COFFEE CO.

Located in the heart of historic downtown Dripping Springs on Mercer Street is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Mazama Coffee Company specializes in roasting, baking, and brewing all their products in-house. It's the perfect place to stop in for a cup of coffee, a fresh baked pastry, a smoothie or iced tea. They also serve up lighter options for lunch like salads and sandwiches made fresh daily. If you are looking for a break from a caffeine, they also serve local ice-cold beer and wine. They have plenty of seating inside and in their relaxing outdoor courtyard shaded by the wide branches of a live oak tree. Mazama Coffee Co. pride themselves on being a community spot where folks can come together to chat with friends, work peacefully, or just enjoy a respite from everyday life.

2. STARRS ON MERCER

Walking into this "modern day department store", you'll most likely be greeted by the two sisters, Melissa and Sarah, who own and run this glorious boutique. Shop at Starrs on Mercer for women's clothing, men's clothing, jewelry and of course the perfect Dripping Springs t-shirt. With great big smiles, and contagious energy, these two sisters, or a member of their equally incredible staff, will help you find a perfect new outfit, a special gift or incredible piece of new jewelry from the expansive collection of designers they have in-stock.

Located on historic Mercer street, there is no way you will leave Starrs on Mercer empty handed!

3. BARBER SHOP BAR

The Barber Shop Brewpub was the first bar on the once sleepy Mercer Street and forever changed downtown Dripping Springs when they opened their doors in 2011. Now, the bustling historic district is home to many fine establishments with The Barber Shop serving as the anchor. This is a true locals brewpub but don’t be mistaken, the atmosphere is one that is always welcoming and inclusive to whomever walks through the doors. If the bartenders don’t know your name, they certainly will after you’ve ordered your first beer.

On tap, they serve up lots of local beer and it’s always cold. You can even try some of the owner’s beer that they have on tap. The Barber Shop not only serves up beer, they also have wine and drinks for the under 21 crowd. Kids and well-behaved dogs on leashes are also welcome!

4. FOUNDERS MEMORIAL PARK

If you've got kids in tow, Founder's Park is an ideal place to visit. Located within the park's grounds is a large community swimming pool, a playscape for the kiddos that accommodates children of all ages, a short .7-mile hiking trail, and fields for a variety of different sports including soccer and lacrosse. Located within Founders Memorial Park is also the Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead. The historic farmstead was the home of Dr. Pound and his wife, Sarah who were the first settlers to this area in the 1850s. The descendants of the Pound family lived on the farmstead for over 130 years and because of that, the home and settler site are furnished with many of the family's original heirlooms and time appropriate pieces. You can take a tour of the property with a docent or take a self-guided tour Wednesday through Saturday 12pm-3pm. Many events take place at the Park including outdoor movies, and Pioneer Day, which celebrates Dripping Springs history and heritage.

5. SIDECAR TASTING ROOM

Sidecar is an eclectic prohibition style wine bar and tasting room that just so happens to be owned by the same sommeliers who run and operate Bell Springs Winery. Step inside the re-purposed home and you'll be transported to the 1920s but with upscale and modern drink choices. Once indoors, the super knowledgeable staff will help guide you in finding the perfect drink of your choice. They offer wine flights, or you can enjoy a glass of your choosing. Or, step outdoors and find a seat beneath the shade of ancient oak trees while you enjoy your glass of wine, flight, or sangria.

Sidecar also hosts a gambit of events from live music, to trivia night. They offer three different kinds of Yapa Empanadas, large enough for a meal or to share! Yes please!!

6. ACOPON BREWING COMPANY

Acopon Brewing Company is just two doors down from The Barber Shop in the heart of Dripping Springs on Mercer Street. Owned and operated by the same guys who run The Barber Shop, they brew their own beer and specialize in brewing English Ales. On tap, you’ll find Bitters, Old Ales, and Porters. The brewpub also serves wine, mead, cider and soft drinks. John and Dave, the owners started brewing beer as a hobby and then started selling it at the original beer pub, The Barber Shop. With the acquisition of Acopon, the two have been able to scale up the production – and boy are beer enthusiasts happy about it. With a laid-back ambiance, it’s a place where you can enjoy a beer on the patio and watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Dripping Springs.
